From the moment we engaged Tracy Black of Soulstyle we instantly felt her warmth and confidence for the project. Her pragmatism and aesthetic continued throughout allowing us to collaborate without worrying if our vision was going to translate well into the ultimate finished project. Not only was her design process streamlined and easy, her attention to detail was impeccable. She was able to narrow down our choices for all furnishings, fixtures and finishes which ensured the overall design’s look and feel was cohesive, something we would have struggled with otherwise. 

Tracy’s organization and attention to detail was beyond anything we ever expected. She kept tight timelines in collaboration with our contracting team, ensured no detail was missed and was really the quarterback of the entire project all the while maintaining her (and as a  consequence, our) humour. The level of service we received was priceless.

We couldn’t have asked for a better fit for designer, and so look forward to working with her again on any large or small project we have.

We have been working with Tracy for almost 9 years through three different homes.   She first assisted us when we renovated our basement and with her direction we were able to furnish it with versatile quality furniture that was reasonably priced and looked incredibly stylish.  Tracy made the process of decorating our homes easy.  She narrowed down choices to a manageable number of options and then we chose the one we liked best.    Even couch shopping was easy!!  She narrowed it down in terms of styles and fabrics, and 30 minutes later we were done.    We absolutely recommend Tracy as an interior decorator.  She is trustworthy, honest, and has saved us money in many ways.  She stays within budget and sources excellent pieces from a variety of sources, which includes making practical suggestions to save money.    Our final comment is that Tracy has an eye for even the smallest of details and executes her ideas flawlessly.  She did a great job at decorating multiple rooms in our home and we couldn’t be happier.    She’s a pleasure to work with and we continue to recommend her to family and friends alike.

When I first met Tracy, I really had no idea what I wanted to do with our dated kitchen and bathrooms.   Tracy came up with a design that never, in a million years, would either of us have considered – and we LOVE it.  She has given us the kitchen and bathrooms of our dreams!!  I remember early on in the planning stage, I said to Tracy – I’m so scared I’ll make a mistake, and her reply was – I won’t let you – and she didn’t!  I tend to get overwhelmed when faced with too many choices, and Tracy held my hand through the whole process and made the decision making as easy as possible.  She is meticulous in her attention to detail and followed up on every order to make sure everything was here when it was needed by the contractors.  Not only are our new bathrooms and kitchens beautiful, they are functional and Tracy made sure every drawer and cupboard was as functional and pleasing as possible. 

Tracy kept us fully informed throughout the whole process and almost daily, I said to her – what would I do without you?  I meant that most sincerely.  She was wonderful to work with and I was fortunate to find such a great designer, but even more than that, I feel I have acquired a new friend.  I highly recommend Tracy for any project you have in mind.  She listens to what you like and don’t like and she incorporated every one of my ‘wish list’ items into our new space.  Tracy, I can’t sing your praises loudly enough – you did an awesome job!
