The very thought…..delicious really.
Everyone who knows me knows I’m completely whackadoodle about a white bedroom. Not for clients – for me. I’ve had several incarnations of white bedrooms over the years, changing furniture, bedding, even the white on the wall (yes, that’s right, white to a different white – I mentioned the whackadoodle, move on).

Maybe it’s because my days are often immersed in color (other peoples), maybe it’s because I have a clean freak gene – I need not seek an explanation. What I know is that a white bedroom for me speaks…no, it whispers…peace, calm, come hither.

So – when Mister and I began our co-habitation journey in the new casa, there was talk of a non-white bedroom. (paper bag for hyperventilation here). This bedroom was larger, it needed color, maybe not so feminine – all his cajoling.
We made a beautiful dove gray velvet tufted headboard. We purchased a gray silk drum shade overhead fixture, with crystals – I do love me some sparkle. So – the gray went on the walls. And I LOVE gray….anywhere else.
Ugh – I tried, I swear I’ve tried. My bedroom has to be white in order for there to be harmony in my psyche. It just does. He does not understand, though thankfully, he is nodding and (sort of) smiling.
I have convinced him that I will be over-the-moon-leaping-with-glitter-encrusted-unicorns kind of happy once it’s white, so I think that helped.
