Inspirations & Reflections

Happy 2012!

Being a new year and all, the Mister & I decided we’d make a Project List for 2012.  Which sounds all proactive & organized, but in reality it just makes you feel tired. And broke.  So, don’t do it.  Fly by the seat of your pants and tackle projects as you’re inspired.  Or as you Pin.  Or whatever your method is. (And if you don’t have a method, hire a professional.  Who will have a method, just not for her own home).

But list or no list, some of the Must-Do’s for this year are:

1. Creating a functional (and of course beautiful) office space.  The Mister & I both work from home, so we spend A LOT of time in there.  Striking a balance between the girly fabulous that I’d like:

and something the Mister can work in too is impossible important.
So maybe more like one of these….sorta.

Still girly, I know.  He’ll manage.

 2. We’re determined to tackle some of the flooring ugliness issues up in here, because as I’ve mentioned, I HATE the tiles throughout our main floor, and I believe it’s affecting my will to live.

3. Last priority is our laundry room/entry mud room.  This very small area has the washer/ dryer, and 3 entry doors (garage, side yard, and hallway).  Something has GOT to change here.  These would be good changes.

So that’s our un-list, and of course, I will keep you posted.

As we were discussing these new projects, I realized that (even without a list) we tackled A LOT of projects in our casa last year.
It was because of our ‘trial & error’ learnings, and searching for budget friendly solutions to issues that inspired me to start these Musings.

And WOW, what an amazing and incredible journey that has become….
Some of my very favourite blogs & bloggers featured my projects!
Here’s a few of the highlights :

This one on Tip Junkie now falls into one of the “Most popular of All Time” projects.  Seriously.
Then there was TWO features at Remodelaholic, here & here.
Centsational Girl was one of the very first blogs I encountered, and I loved her & her projects.  So the feature there was a bit surreal;
Stephanie Lynn, Allison, & Kristi (all fav’s of mine) featured projects from their link parties.

All in all, a pretty exciting year!  The best part of being featured/showcased anywhere is that it gives us a chance to meet. And I’m so happy to meet you – I love your comments and emails about what we’re doing….And there’s about 20 other projects that we muddled through that you haven’t even seen yet!

So stick around, keep visiting, subscribe, stalk, pin with me, Facebook friend me, whatever.
Because I really like you, you’re nice.  And you have pretty hair.
And if we were together fo’ real, we could so be BFF’s.
