This is completely non-decor related, and not my regular weekly post…..but it’s Mothers Day.
In honor of the occasion, I want to wish a Happy Mothers Day to every Mom who is flying by the seat of her pants, trying to figure things out as she goes, and feeling absolutely overwhelmed and insane sometimes.
The Moms who don’t know how to answer questions like how bumblebees poop, that use TV as a babysitter sometimes, and just want to go to the bathroom in peace. Moms who set a place at the dinner table for an imaginary friend because it’s just easier.
Because you’re the Moms who are creating amazing kids, and making the world a better place.
I’ll introduce you to my Mom….definitely one of the greatest gifts in my life.
She is the funniest (as in – laugh at, not just with), most generous, caring,
and wonderful person I’ll ever know.
I can’t think of a single moment in my life that she hasn’t been supportive of me…she’s always been my biggest fan & cheering squad, and is always telling me (and really, anyone who will listen) how amazing I am….
And though all that is true, it’s not like she never lost her cool or her patience with me.
She’s human….and real, and genuine, and emotional and sometimes a bit crazy – and that’s what made her such a great Mom.
Does/Did your Mom make this face at you?
This is my Moms “Seriously Tracy? Because I don’t think so ” face.
I still get it. At 40. ish. At least she can’t ground me anymore.
I’m pretty sure.
Happy Mothers Day Mommy. TTMAB.
